Community Projects

The Need

Big projects can sometimes take the spotlight. They’re exciting and feel very tangible. But sometimes little things can be more impactful on a personal level.

These projects won’t solve underlying issues like corruption and poverty overnight. But by feeding children, providing activities and exercise, and nurturing the community – we’re taking steps in the right direction. We’re helping people help themselves – and that’s how we cultivate long-term change.

What We're Doing

As members of the community themselves, Enrique and Jackie see many needs firsthand. They step in to help whenever they can.

Some recent examples include:

  • Delivering groceries to struggling parents
  • Providing backpacks and school supplies to elementary students
  • Completing small house repairs for single mothers in need

Enrique also leads sports programs for children. He gives them positive ways to use their energy and teaches them the value of hard work, discipline, and having fun in healthy ways!

How You Can Help

Come visit us! We would love for you to meet our families in person and join the Corazón Catracho community.

You can also donate to our general fund. This fund allows Enrique and Jackie to meet needs as soon as they arise. That way we don’t have to wait to act. Instead, we can meet the needs of others in real time, thanks to you and your generosity.

To learn more about what we’re doing on a day-to-day basis, follow Corazón Catracho on Facebook.

Belonging to a Team

"I'm learning discipline. I'm learning not to say bad words. I'm learning to respect my parents. That's why I love this team. And I have fun too!"
